Pınar Kemerli is currently Provost Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of South Florida. She was previously the Nancy L. Buc Postdoctoral Fellow at Pembroke Center for Teaching and Research on Women, Brown University and the Postdoctoral Ethics Fellow at the Roger Mudd Center for Ethics, Washington & Lee University. She holds an M.A. degree from Goldsmith College, London, and a Ph.D. from Cornell University. Her research examines the interactions between religion and politics, and the questions of sovereignty raised by such interactions. Her work has been published in Contested Spaces in Contemporary Turkey, The Oxford Handbook of the History of Terrorism, and International Journal of Middle East Studies.
